Cole, Scott & Kissane is a metrics-driven law firm – far beyond billable hours. We evaluate attorneys based upon multiple pivotal factors including the life cycle of each claim. On a monthly basis, we measure the number of days each claim is open. We offer to provide to each of our clients, whether monthly, quarterly or otherwise, their respective case closure statistics and other pertinent metrics, including DE&I at a case assignment level. We also evaluate claim results as a critical component to our attorney evaluation. In sum, we continually measure data and metrics in order to evaluate our success in achieving highly effective results at an appropriate cost. Perhaps different than some businesses, our lawyers fully invest to become part of our culture. While we have a full complement of attorneys, paralegals, and office staff, not every case requires an army. At the commencement of each matter, we discuss with the client who will be the appropriate lawyer or lawyers to handle the case or transaction. This analysis is done based on the complexity of the matter in conjunction with the individual talents and expertise of our lawyers. Every case and every project is administered to be cost-effective without sacrificing quality. We do not lose sight of the maxim that the firm's success is tied directly to the success of our clients.
