Alexia D. Harkley

Alexia Harkley is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Orlando office where she focuses her practice in the defense of general liability and premises liability cases. Alexia attended the University of Central Florida, where she studied political science and graduated cum laude, and later earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she served as an Articles Editor for the Florida Law Review.

While in law school, Alexia served as a judicial intern at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and as a summer fellow for the Florida NAACP. She also participated in a Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic and assisted with a veterans appeal for disability compensation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and drafted a portion of an amicus brief filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit by the National Law School Veterans Clinic Consortium on behalf of a disabled Vietnam War veteran.

Alexia also served as Multicultural Media, Telecom, and Internet Council’s (MMTC) Henry Geller Fellow where she advocated for equal broadband access in rural and underserved communities. MMTC is one of the leading public interest telecommunications policy advocacy organizations that frequently appear in selected proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission.

When Alexia is not fiercely advocating for her clients, she enjoys volunteering with the Junior League of Greater Orlando to serve those in need throughout the Greater Orlando community.
