Amber C. Dawson is an Associate in the Firm’s Miami office. At CSK, Ms. Dawson’s practice consists of general civil litigation including premises liability, professional malpractice, civil rights litigation, negligent security claims, Errors and Omissions cases, including claims brought against insurance brokers and agents, personal injury and condominium association claims. Ms. Dawson focuses her practice on the defense of attorneys, insurance agents, title agents, closing agents, appraisers, and real estate agents and other professionals who are sued for malpractice and professional negligence.
Ms. Dawson completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. Ms. Dawson subsequently received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
During law school, Ms. Dawson served as the Managing Editior for the University of Miami Business Law Review, where her Student Note was chosen for publication in the Review’s 25th Volume. Ms. Dawson also participated in the Cyber Civil Rights Practicum under the guidance of Professor Mary-Anne Franks, furthering the goals of the University’s Cyber Civil Rights Initiative.
Before joining CSK, Ms. Dawson worked as an Assistant State Attorney for three years at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, where she litigated cases in the Misdemeanor, Juvenile and Felony Divisions of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
Ms. Dawson is a member of the Florida Bar and is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
