Overview
Daniel J. Kissane is a Partner in the firm's Jacksonville office. His areas of expertise include: product liability defense litigation, personal injury defense, banking and financial, class actions, commercial litigation, construction defects, premises liability, consumer law, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, wrongful death defense, insurance coverage issues and toxic tort (asbestos, Benzene and other exposures).
Mr. Kissane has represented among others, Yamaha Motor Corp.; The Pantry, Inc.; Snap-on Tools, Inc.; Honda Motor Co.; Toyota Motor Co.; General Motors; Proctor & Gamble; Deere & Company; Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.; Isuzu Motors, Ltd.; Mitsubishi Motors North America; Porsche Cars North America; Sentry Insurance Company; Sumitomo Marine & Fire Insurance Company; and various other companies.
Mr. Kissane is a frequent contributor to the Trends Report and other publications prepared by the Automobile Products Subcommittee of the American Bar Association. In addition, he co-authored the "Florida Personal Injury Practice Guide" published by Lexis Nexis and Matthew Bender available here.
Mr. Kissane is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected by his peers as one of the top 1.7% of civil trial lawyers in the State by Florida Trend Magazine, Jacksonville Magazine and The Best Lawyers in America® since 2020. He was also named Florida Trend's Legal Elite from 2005-2014.
Mr. Kissane is a 1984 graduate of the University of Miami (B.A.) and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1988 from St. Thomas University, magna cum laude.
