John Patrick Keller is an associate in the First Party Property division in the firm’s Miami office. He practices in the area of general civil litigation focusing on insurance defense of first party property claims and bad faith claims.
Mr. Keller earned his Juris Doctor from the University Of Miami School Of Law, graduating with honors.During law school, he was a member of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board and the vice-captain of theTrial Team. Mr. Keller was the receipt of the Litigation Skills Adjunct Faculty Scholarship, named to the Dean’s List, and was also inducted into the Law School’s Honor Society, the Bar and Gavel.
Mr. Keller received the CALI Award in Florida Research Techniques as well as the Director’s Award in Topics of Legal Analysis. Prior to joining the firm, he interned with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and clerked at a boutique complex business litigation firm, specializing in shareholder disputes in closely-held corporations and fraud-based litigation.
Mr. Keller earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia. Following his undergraduate work, he served as a congressional aide and speechwriter in Washington, D.C.
