Overview
Joshua A. Goldstein is a partner in the firm’s West Palm Beach office. Mr. Goldstein focuses his practice primarily on commercial litigation, business litigation and directors and officer liability. Mr. Goldstein is a trial lawyer who has experience litigation cases on behalf of Plaintiffs and Defendants involving: claims against businesses and professionals, partnership disputes, contractual disputes, class actions, directors and officer claims, employment disputes, discrimination charges, intellectual property disputes, errors and omissions, condominium and homeowners association litigation, commercial leases, consumer protection defenses, real estate litigation, marine and admiralty and civil rights. Mr. Goldstein’s clients primarily include large and small commercial businesses, partnerships, law firms, real estate agents and developers, entertainment industry, community associations and country clubs and members of the cruise industry. Mr. Goldstein has successfully served as the lead trial attorney in jury and non-jury cases.
Mr. Goldstein also assists businesses with contractual development and negotiations, acquisition deals, general legal guidance and dispute resolution, employee issues and investigations and general risk management evaluations.
Mr. Goldstein has experience in defending professionals in administrative investigations related their professional licenses. In this capacity Mr. Goldstein has represented professionals during Florida Bar Investigations as well as before administrative boards and panels, such as the DBPR.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Goldstein was the inaugural clerk for the Honorable Pamela J. White in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
Mr. Goldstein earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Miami and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he was a Snyder Litigation Skills Fellow. While at the University of Baltimore, he was a member and Captain of the Jessup International Moot Court Team and a recipient of the Dean’s Citation for Service.
Mr. Goldstein is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Goldstein is also licensed to practice law in all State Courts within Maryland, Massachusetts and Florida. Mr. Goldstein is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
