Matthew Thomas Smith is an associate at the firm’s Orlando location. His primary practice areas include Personal Injury Protection and Bodily Injury.
Matthew graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M University College of Law with magna cum laude honors.
While in law school, Matthew was an Assistant Articles Editor and Team Lead on Law Review where he received awards in recognition to his commitment to Law Review, as well being awarded Outstanding Senior Editor. He is also a recipient of the Florida A&M University College of Law Dean’s Scholarship. He booked multiple courses as well, such as in the courses of Torts and Business Law.
He was also a member of the Christian Legal Society, the Stonewall LGBTQ Law Student Association, the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society, the Criminal Law Society, and was an Executive Board member of the Federal Bar Association Student Division.
Finally, Matthew had the esteemed opportunity to intern under the honorable Judge Patricia L. Strowbridge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida located in Orlando where he researched issues taken under advisement and assisted the Court in ruling on various civil matters.
Matthew is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association.
