Overview
Michael J. Merrill is a Partner in the Orlando office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. His areas of practice include all aspects of insurance and general liability defense, including personal injury defense, premises liability, automobile liability, automobile no-fault litigation, and insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Merrill obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics, with honors, from the University of Utah. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Merrill worked for a local law firm and also volunteered his time with the Volunteer Income Tax Association, as well as various pro bono clinics sponsored by the school. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, as well as the Middle District of Florida and Southern District of Florida.
Mr. Merrill is also actively involved with the Rotary Club of Seminole County South, participating in their charitable events throughout the year, as well as the Youth Exchange Program. He has held various officer positions with the Rotary club, including club President for the 2019-2020 year.
