Nina Patterson is an associate at the Cole, Scott & Kissane’s Orlando office. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University Central Florida, where she majored in Literature graduating cum laude. Afterwards she obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Florida A&M College of Law. As a law student, Ms. Patterson was the Notes & Comments Editor, participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial, and served as the Vice President of the Federalist Society. In 2015, she was selected to participate in the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s Diversity Clerkship where she clerked for Senior Judge Denise Owens of the Chancery Court in Jackson, Mississippi. In her final year of law school, Ms. Patterson was a student member of the George C. Young Inns of Court. Following law school Ms. Patterson managed her own firm representing clients in Family and Criminal Court, along with defending Landlord/Tenant disputes. Ms. Patterson is honored to volunteer her professional services to our veterans in the Veterans Appeal Court pro bono.
Outside of the courtroom, Nina has a passion for volunteer work, she is a director with the Salvation Army and with the Rotary Club of South Seminole. She also mentors future attorneys and other young women through a non-profit organization called Kinetic-Her. Nina is often joined by her two children feeding the homeless and ringing the bell during Christmas for donations to the Salvation Army.
