Olga Porven


Olga Porven is an associate at the firm’s Miami Office and practices in the areas of general civil litigation, catastrophic and personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death and other civil litigation matters. A South Florida native, Olga began her legal practice as a public interest attorney serving the impoverished populations of Miami-Dade County. As an Equal Justice Works Fellow and a Clinical Supervisor, she founded the Elder Law Division of the University of Miami School of Law Health and Elder Law Clinic. She represented individuals in matters concerning Social Security disability, fair housing, immigration, and probate matters.

Following her Equal Justice Works Fellowship, from 2010 to 2012, Ms. Porven was an associate at Cole Scott and Kissane. After many years of significant Plaintiff and Insurance Defense experience, Ms. Porven rejoined Cole, Scott & Kissane. She is admitted to practice in the trial courts of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Middle District of Florida.

Olga Porven obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Miami. Ms. Porven earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated cum laude. While at the University of Miami School of Law, she was a Florida Bar Foundation Summer Fellow, a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow with the Center for Ethics and Public Service, a Certified Legal Intern with the Community Health Rights Education Clinic, a CALI award recipient, and a member of the Dean’s List. In addition, Ms. Porven was awarded the Innovative Service in the Public Interest award. The Clinical Legal Education Association recognized Ms. Porven as the 2008 University of Miami School of Law Outstanding Student.

In addition to practicing law, Ms. Porven sits on the City of Pembroke Pines Charter Schools Parent Advisory Board. Ms. Porven is married with two children and lives in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She is fluent in Spanish.
