Roderick "Joel" Kersch, Jr. is an Associate in the firm's Fort Lauderdale East office. He is an experienced civil court litigator who primarily focuses his practice in the areas of business/commercial law, construction, consumer law, general civil litigation, general counsel services, insurance defense litigation, medical malpractice, physician’s malpractice, premises liability, product liability, security negligence, trucking accident defense, vehicle negligence, workers’ compensation.
Mr. Kersch received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, majoring in Accounting and Business Administration. Thereafter, he attended law school at Creighton University in his hometown of Omaha, NE, where he earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, graduating among the top of his class. While attending law school, Mr. Kersch was the recipient of myriad academic honors, including Dean's List, pursuant to which he was awarded the coveted Dean's Scholarship. He was also selected from a group of his peers in his 3rd year for a legal fellowship with the United States Senate in U.S. Senator Fischer's office, where he often frequented U.S. Supreme Court oral arguments and congressional hearings.
Prior to joining CSK, Joel has practiced civil litigation in other states he is actively barred in that include Colorado, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
