Valerie Gatlin is an associate at CSK in Tallahassee and focuses her practice in general liability defense, vehicle negligence, and civil litigation. Prior to joining Cole, Scott and Kissane, Ms. Gatlin worked at a well known Plaintiff’s firm as a law clerk during law school and then as an associate attorney in construction and general civil law.
Ms. Gatlin attended law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida where she was on the Student Bar Association Summery Advisory Counsel and participated in the Part-Time Student Society. At Stetson Law, Ms. Gatlin took courses focusing her skills on civil and trial advocacy. She was recognized for her hard work and dedication to the legal field with scholarships including the Judge Edith M. Atkinson Scholarship and Judge Raphael Steinhardt Public Interest Scholarship.
Ms. Gatlin is originally from Athens, Georgia, and outside of CSK serves as a Guardian Ad Litem volunteer where she advocates for abused and neglected children, enjoys cheering on FSU, and spending time with her dog and family.
