Cole, Scott & Kissane, an AV-rated litigation firm, is seeking a full-time, experienced Nurse Paralegal for its Fort Lauderdale East (Downtown) office. The prospective candidate will primarily lend support for one of the firm’s partners and an associate in our busy Insurance Defense practice with an emphasis on Medical Malpractice (“Med-Mal”), thus, prior civil litigation experience is required. Experience in the area of Medical Malpractice, Personal/Bodily Injury issues is a plus and will be considered above others. This is a hands-on position that involves working collaboratively with clients, opposing counsel, medical professionals and fellow employees of the firm. The position also requires strong organizational skills and the ability to perform well within a team environment. Qualified candidates must be familiar with court procedures and have extensive experience with researching, scheduling, drafting legal documents, follow-up/follow-through and filing pleadings in state and federal courts.
