Declaratory Action Jury Verdict

Miami Partners George Hooker and Robert Guinn secured a verdict in favor of an insurance carrier who brought a declaratory action against its insureds. The claim was considered to be covered, however, the insureds failed to submit a work authorization for repairs. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the insurance carrier client after 40 minutes of deliberation, finding the failure to submit a work authorization was a material breach of the policy.
