Discrimination Case Dismissed

Miami Associate, Benjamin Lang, succeeded in dismissal of a claim for discrimination and retaliation with the Florida Commission of Human Relations (“FCHR”) and claimed he was fired and discriminated against due his alleged medical disability. In actuality, the Plaintiff was fired for theft, although coincidentally he had been complaining of medical issues and taking time off for the doctor and hospital visits within the few weeks prior, and had rightfully been demoted to assistant manager, complicating the situation. After filing our response in opposition with the investigator for the FCHR and supplying an abundance of evidence including security footage of the theft, the investigator returned a determination of no reasonable cause for the claim of discrimination or retaliation.
