Orlando Partners, Scott Shelton and Melissa Crowley, recently received complete defense verdict in Lake County, FL following a five-day jury trial involving a slip and fall in Defendant’s grocery store, which was caught on the store’s surveillance tape. Plaintiff alleged the water came from a nearby freezer that work records showed had been serviced the same day. Plaintiff subsequently underwent four surgeries to her knees and claimed knee replacements were needed in the future. Plaintiff boarded approximately $300,000 in past medical expenses and asked for “millions” during closing arguments. After several hours of deliberations, the jury returned with a complete defense verdict.
