West Palm Beach Partner Barry Postman and Bonita Springs Partner Dan Calvert recently obtained a defense verdict in a two week medical malpractice jury trial in Broward County.
CSK represented an Otolaryngologist who was sued as a result of a series of surgeries he performed on a fellow physician. The medical record contained altered medical records and there was substantial evidence of fraud regarding other medical records. The plaintiff claimed to have suffered from anxiety as a result of the procedures and asked for 1.4 million dollars in damages. The jury was out for a little under two hours.
