Tampa Partner Paydon Broeder and Orlando Partner Jennifer Ngoie recently secured a complete defense verdict in a 2018 windstorm with hail reported in Volusia County.
Plaintiffs alleged roof and interior damage from a severe hailstorm. Despite extensive interior damage, the carrier denied the claim claiming there was no hail-created opening. Plaintiffs filed suit and claimed damages in excess of $100,000 to restore the property back to its pre-loss condition. The jury deliberated for 30 minutes before returning a complete defense verdict.
