Overview

The firm’s attorneys are experienced in a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including title insurance issues and the issuance of title insurance policies. The firm has represented both buyers and sellers of real estate, and lenders (including state and national banks and private lenders of all types) and is highly familiar with all aspects of financing these types of transactions. A number of our lawyers have also been principals in banks and commercial real estate ventures (such as shopping centers, apartment projects, and warehouses), which sharpens CSK’s focus on the legal protections needed in structuring such commercial real estate transactions. Additionally, our real estate attorneys often handle real estate syndications and draft private placements for real estate projects and investment funds within the context of state and federal securities laws.

Our corporate and real estate transactional lawyers also work on a daily basis in conjunction with our litigators in adversarial matters involving corporate and real estate issues, which results in a stronger representation in such matters.

CSK also undertakes matters related to property management, leasing, and servicing. With respect to commercial leasing and management matters, CSK advises some of the largest owners and operators of commercial properties on a wide range of retail, office, and industrial projects. CSK also advises investors, developers, and agents concerning operational and management issues, often structuring arrangements for the management and leasing of major commercial developments. CSK counsels clients with asset sales, mergers, and acquisitions where the successful transfer of leasehold interests is critical. Moreover, CSK has significant experience in representing tenants and landlords in sale leaseback transactions. CSK has represented both buyers and sellers of real estate, and is familiar with all aspects of financing these transactions.
