Overview
Andrew G. Simon is a partner in the firm’s Miami office concentrating in the areas of commercial litigation, employment litigation, fiduciary defense and professional malpractice litigation. Mr. Simon has experience litigating cases involving contractual disputes, investor losses, employment disputes, discrimination, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and realtor disputes.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami where he served on one of the University’s top honor societies, The University of Miami Honor Counsel, and was the Risk Manager for the Fraternity Beta Theta Pi.
He earned his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern’s Shepard Broad College of Law. During his time in law school, Mr. Simon was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Scott M. Bernstein, head of interns for the Unified Family Court Complex Litigation Division, President of the Family Law Society, a Law Clerk for one of Ft. Lauderdale’s top Criminal Defense Attorneys and for his last semester of law school became a full time extern at Cole, Scott & Kissane P.A. through the school’s civil litigation clinic program where he focused on the very areas of law he practices today. In his 1L year Mr. Simon was inducted into two of the Law School’s coveted honor societies, Moot Court and the Nova Trial Association where he competed nationally throughout the rest of his tenure in the country’s largest trial competitions finishing as a finalist in every respective competition. Upon graduation, Mr. Simon was one of ten graduates selected to be inducted into the national organization, The Order of Barristers, by virtue of demonstrating outstanding oral advocacy, scholastic ability and literary achievement.
Mr. Simon was named one of Florida’s top “Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers Magazine (2021-2024), which is awarded to less than 2.5% of the attorneys in the state.
