Overview
Aram P. Megerian is the Managing Partner at the firm's Tampa office and has been at CSK since 1998, working in both the Miami and Tampa offices. Mr. Megerian is a Martindale Hubble-AV rated attorney and has been selected as one of Tampa Bay's Best Insurance Lawyers by Tampa Bay Magazine; Florida Legal Elite recognition (2015) and to the Best Lawyers® in America publication (2018, 2020-2022). He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates-Tampa Chapter (Immediate Past President).
Mr. Megerian is the head of the firm's First Party Trial and Coverage division handling various insurance disputes regarding coverage and first party claims. This includes the handling of bad faith claims and extra-contractual exposures arising from property and liability claims. Additionally, he has tried almost 200 civil and criminal cases to verdict.
Mr. Megerian represents clients in general negligence actions involving catastrophic and personal injuries, HIPAA, cyber liability, trucking accidents, negligent security as well as construction. He also provides the defense of professionals such as medical providers, long-term care providers, accountants, attorneys, real estate brokers and insurance agents. He has experience handling Errors and Omissions claims, including those brought against insurance brokers and agents. He is an active participant in the firms SIU Fraud Division representing carriers by bringing affirmative complaints and counterclaims on their behalf. He also provides consultations regarding regulatory, administrative and licensure procedures for these professionals.
Mr. Megerian also focuses on Environmental Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. His practice includes extensive experience with Chinese drywall sulfurous off-gassing, CPVC environmental stress cracking from incompatibility with ABF II cutting agents, mold, mildew, fungi, bacteria, radon, carbon monoxide poisoning, and Legionnaire's disease claims.
Mr. Megerian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Villanova University and received his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. While in law school, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for his research and writing regarding the insurance industry’s response and handling of the AIDS epidemic in America. He was also a member of the prestigious Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society and had great success representing his school in trial competitions throughout the United States.
