Overview
Ariel J. Jimenez is an Associate at the firm's Fort Lauderdale East office. Mr. Jimenez focuses his practice on state and federal civil litigation matters, including, but not limited to, business and complex commercial litigation; class and mass action litigation; employment and labor law including, employment discrimination and retaliation complaints/investigations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR) and wage and hour actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); condominium and homeowners association litigation; Fair Housing Act (FHA) complaints/investigations before the HUD and subsequent litigation; consumer protection/trade practices defense; data security and privacy litigation; and negligence related claims for sporting arenas and venues.
Mr. Jimenez received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida. Thereafter, Mr. Jimenez acquired over five years of experience as an insurance adjuster prior to attending law school, handling auto related and premise liability injury claims that had proceeded to litigation. Mr. Jimenez then attended Florida International University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate, graduating Magna Cum Laude and in the top 15 of his class. Mr. Jimenez also received CALI Excellence for the Future awards in law school for obtaining the highest grade in both Torts and Property Law. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Jimenez was a Law Clerk for Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. during his second and third year of law school.
