Overview
Bryan A. Maroto is an associate at the firm's Fort Lauderdale East office. Mr. Maroto received his Bachelor's degree as a double major in Political Science and Media and Communication Studies at Florida State University (FSU). Mr. Maroto also received cum laude recognition and was awarded Garnet and Gold Scholar status for his superior leadership skills during his tenure at FSU. Thereafter, Mr. Maroto received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University (FIU), where he received magna cum laude recognition for graduating in the top 12% of his class. Mr. Maroto was not only an articles editor for the FIU Law Review but was also an integral part of the FIU Latin American and Caribbean Law Review and the FIU Small Business Clinic. This, in addition to Mr. Maroto earning a place on the Dean's List every semester, is what led to his recognition as a Business Law Scholar by the Florida Bar Business Law Section in 2023. After graduating FIU Law, Mr. Maroto was also awarded the Alex & Maribety Alvarez Excellence in Service Award for committing over 500 pro bono hours educating the younger generations about the law.
As an associate, Mr. Maroto focuses his practice on state and federal civil litigation matters, including, but not limited to, business and complex commercial litigation; class and mass action litigation; employment and labor law litigation; consumer protection/trade practices defense; data security and privacy litigation; and negligence related claims.
