Overview
Claire R. Hurley is a partner in the West Palm Beach office. She focuses her practice on personal injury and wrongful death claims related to allegations of medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, premises liability, security negligence, toxic tort, general negligence and products liability. Ms. Hurley represents physicians, nurses, hospitals and other healthcare providers in medical negligence cases, including complaints filed with State agencies. She enjoys counseling healthcare providers and insurance professionals on the importance of ensuring compliance with Florida’s Medical Malpractice Statute and State Agency reporting requirements.
Ms. Hurley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, along with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the Scripps Howard School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron, School of Law, where she was a member of Akron’s trial and moot court teams. She competed at the National Civil Trial Competition in Los Angeles, California, and was a member of the Tournament Champion Team at the Gourley Mock Trial Competition, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she earned a Top Advocate award. Ms. Hurley also participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, winning First Place Oralist at regional competition.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hurley practiced at a litigation defense firm in Cleveland, Ohio, where she focused her practice in the area of asbestos and products liability. Ms. Hurley is licensed to practice in Florida and Ohio.
