Overview
Daniel Maher is a partner in the firm’s Miami office specializing in the area of First Party Property Defense. His experience spans numerous types of property losses, including theft, wind, water, and other storm related losses. Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Maher worked with carriers on other first party property and personal injury protection matters, specializing in the interpretation and application of various statutory provisions to corresponding policies of insurance.
Mr. Maher earned his Juris Doctor from the University Of Miami School Of Law, graduating with honors. During law school, he was a member of the International & Comparative Law Review, and he was the Review’s Editor-in-Chief for its 21st Volume. Mr. Maher dedicated his education to the development of practical civil litigation skills by completing the course-intensive Litigation and Dispute Resolution Concentration. He also interned with the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney and did a semester clerkship with the Honorable Jacqueline Hogan-Scola.
Mr. Maher earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Saint Louis University John Cook School of Business where he received concentrations in Economics and International Business and attained Dean’s List honors for five semesters. Mr. Maher also played a leading role in Saint Louis University’s chapter of the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, leading the chapter to one of the highest ranked chapters within the fraternity on measure of community service and recruitment.
Mr. Maher is admitted to practice in all state courts in the State of Florida.
