Emily L. Tang is an associate in the firm's Fort Myers office, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, premise liability, vehicle negligence, construction and country club, condominium and homeowners' association law.. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in Political Science and her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law.
While in law school, Ms. Tang was a senior editor and served on the editorial board for the Ave Maria Law Review. She also received the CALI Award for Excellence in Florida Constitutional law, studied abroad at the University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany and interned for the Attorney General at the Office of Statewide Prosecution.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. she began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit trying numerous jury trials. She then practiced in several civil litigation firms in Tampa and Fort Myers, gaining extensive litigation experience in a variety of areas including, premise liability, motor vehicle accidents, first party property, real estate, and construction.
