Hillary Sharp Dimitri is an Associate Attorney in the firm's Miami office, specializing in both domestic and international disputes. Her practice encompasses complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on Latin American and Brazilian matters, as well as cross-border litigation and transnational issues.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Hillary practiced at an Am Law 50 firm, assisting clients on domestic and transnational disputes, international arbitrations, enforcement of foreign arbitration awards and money judgments in the U.S., and 28 U.S.C. § 1782 petitions. Hillary began her legal career representing insurance carriers before the courts of Florida, honing her litigation skills and deepening her commitment to defending clients' rights.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Hillary is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian, enabling her to overcome language barriers and foster seamless communications with her international clients. She leverages her unique multicultural perspective and linguistic proficiency to adeptly guide international clients through complex legal frameworks, while addressing their inherent concerns and uncertainties with exceptional skill.

- Represented Brazilian banks and investment funds in Section 1782 actions in Florida, New York, Delaware, Georgia, and South Carolina federal courts.
- Advised a European car manufacturer regarding domestication and enforcement of an international arbitration award in various US jurisdictions.
- Represented a non-lethal weapons manufacturer sued by a South American country in Florida state court
for allegedly participating in a bribery and money laundering scheme.
- Advised a Brazilian bank regarding the domestication and enforcement of various Brazilian money judgments in Florida.
- Participated in the defense of an energy company in an international arbitration under CPR Rules.
- Represented a European tech company in Section 1782 action in federal court in California.
- Assisted in securing a complete defense verdict in favor of insurance carrier in an insurance dispute.
