Overview
Katrina Fernandez is an associate in the Miami and Orlando offices, where she focuses her practice on general civil litigation, premises liability, security negligence, vehicle negligence, medical malpractice, and nursing home litigation. She is an active member of the firm’s premises liability and personal injury practice groups.
Ms. Fernandez earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, she served as Director of the Intramural Competition and as a member of the FIU Law Board of Appellate Advocates. She competed in the American Bar Association Moot Court Competition, receiving recognition for authoring one of the most outstanding briefs.
Ms. Fernandez has successfully represented clients in a variety of cases, achieving favorable verdicts at trial and securing summary judgment rulings. Her litigation experience includes handling medical malpractice claims, nursing home cases, and high-stakes premises liability and auto-negligence disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, she gained valuable experience during a judicial internship with Magistrate Judge Lisette Reid of the Southern District of Florida and as a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Additionally, she honed her legal skills as a law clerk at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.
Ms. Fernandez is a member of The Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law in Florida.
