Overview

Lisa Lewis is a partner in Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.’s Tampa office.  Ms. Lewis’ practice focuses in the areas of civil litigation matters, including, fraud litigation, general civil litigation, first party windshield litigation, personal injury protection (PIP) litigation (breach of contract claims and declaratory actions) and PIP fraud investigations. 

Ms. Lewis also defends employers against employment and labor law claims, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, wage and hour, civil rights, breach of contract, negligent retention, negligent hiring, sexual harassment, non-compete agreements, trade secrets and intellectual property, FLSA, FMLA and NLRB and class actions.

Ms. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Bethany College, Bethany, WV, where she majored in History, minored in American Government & Politics and specialized in Pre-Law.  Upon graduation, Ms. Lewis earned her Juris doctor degree from Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Petit College of Law.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lewis gained extensive experience representing financial institutions in real property disputes at a creditor’s rights firm, handling thousands of cases statewide.

Ms. Lewis is a member of the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.  She was recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a Florida Rising Star in Personal Injury General Defense in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.  No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list.
