Overview

Marc Alexander Rapaport is a Partner in the Firm’s Miami office. At CSK, Mr. Rapaport’s practice consists of general civil litigation, including the defense of intellectual property (trademark/image and likeness, copyright and trade secret), commercial, personal injury/premises liability and community association claims. Additionally, Mr. Rapaport actively advises clients in connection with the prosecution of trademark and copyright applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States Copyright Office.

Mr. Rapaport completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English and a certificate in Professional and Public Writing. Mr. Rapaport subsequently received his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law.

During law school, Mr. Rapaport served on the Executive Board of the St. Thomas Law Review and had the honor of being awarded “Best Staff Editor” by the Law Review in 2015.  Mr. Rapaport was also elected President of St. Thomas’s student division of the Federal Bar Association and was selected by the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property to serve as a Law Student Reporter for the 32nd Annual Intellectual Property Conference in Arlington, Virginia.

Before becoming a licensed-attorney, Mr. Rapaport gained valuable legal experience clerking for several law firms in the Miami-Dade/Broward area and serving as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge William Thomas in the civil division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.

Outside the Firm, Mr. Rapaport was recently elected to serve as Secretary for the Executive Board of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Federal Bar Association for Fiscal Year 2023.

Mr. Rapaport is a member of the Florida Bar and is also admitted to practice law in federal court, specifically in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Middle District of Florida.

On January 17, 2023, Mr. Rapaport was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Rapaport has been recognized as a 2023 Florida Rising Star, by the Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.

Outside the Firm, Mr. Rapaport was recently elected to serve as Secretary for the Executive Board of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Federal Bar Association for Fiscal Year 2023.
