Maria P. Mendoza Matheus

Maria P. Mendoza Matheus is an Associate in the firm's Fort Lauderdale West office. She is a skilled attorney with a strong background in business and law. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Business from Florida International University, where she was part of the Honors College, she gained valuable managerial experience working for international companies. Her passion for law led her to St. Thomas University in Miami, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree cum laude in 2023. While obtaining her Juris Doctor, Ms. Mendoza was an editor and member of the Inter-cultural Human Rights Law Review and a Co-founder of Phi Delta Phi - Honors Society.

Ms. Mendoza began her legal career in commercial litigation and real estate at a boutique law firm, and now focuses on insurance defense at Cole Scott and Kissane. In her current role, she represents clients in various industries, defending them against insurance claims with strategic and effective solutions. Originally from Venezuela, she is fluent in Spanish, allowing her to serve a diverse client base. Her business acumen, combined with her legal expertise, provides clients with comprehensive, client-focused legal representation.
