Matteo C. Marchetti is an Associate in the firm's Miami office specializing in construction litigation, guiding cases from pre-suit to final resolution. His diverse practice covers construction defects, insurance, premises liability, estate planning, real estate transactions, foreclosures, probate, guardianships, and trademark applications.
Mr. Marchetti's practice is focused on construction defect cases. As a Miami native, he's been a key figure in renowned South Florida law firms, handling cases in both State and Federal Courts. His expertise includes construction law, commercial litigation, and personal injury.
During his role as Assistant Vice President and In-House Counsel for a South Florida Bank, Mr. Marchetti oversaw all of the bank’s legal matters, from litigation to contract negotiations. With a background in residential and commercial real estate transactions, his achievements span multiple foreclosure and real estate cases, including two involving the cancellation of fraudulently executed deeds and a trial.
From the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Marchetti earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2016 as well as his LLM in International Arbitration in 2019.
After completing his J.D., Mr. Marchetti conducted research under Professor Jan Paulsson, focusing on cost management for international arbitrations and reviewing international arbitration awards from the International Chamber of Commerce. This helped him gain a comprehensive understanding of the factors driving costs in international arbitration.
