Overview
Rochelle Nunez is a partner in the Miami office. She focuses her practice on nursing home litigation, long-term care, health care, medical malpractice, and general civil litigation.
Ms. Nunez received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Miami. She received her Juris Doctor and LL.M. in International Taxation from St. Thomas University School of Law.
While in law school, Ms. Nunez received the highest grade award in Contract Law, Trial Advocacy Practice, and Art of Lawyering. She served as Vice President of Membership for Moot Court, Chair of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, and Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Nunez was distinguished for her leadership and community service in 2008, receiving a scholarship award from the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Nunez was a Certified Legal Intern for the Appellate Division of the Public Defender's Office in Dade County, where she received exceptional training in litigation. Ms. Nunez also interned at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to conduct extensive research on finance for development.
Ms. Nunez is admitted to practice in the State of Florida. She is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
Ms. Nunez is fluent in Spanish.
