Overview
Ryan Sawyer is a partner in the firm’s Orlando office. His areas of practice include all aspects of insurance and general liability defense, including personal injury defense, premises liability, automobile liability, security negligence and insurance coverage disputes. Originally from Maryland, Ryan Sawyer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics, cum laude, from the University of Maryland. He was a part of the University’s Honors Program as well as a Byrd and President’s Scholar. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law. While attending Vanderbilt, Mr. Sawyer was a managing editor of the Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law, and President of the Animal Law Society. Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Sawyer worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando, where he tried over twenty-five jury trials. In his spare time, Ryan Sawyer enjoys running, playing basketball and spending time with his wife and daughter.
