Overview
Sahily Ortega is an associate in the firm’s Miami office practicing in the area of general civil litigation.
Ms. Ortega graduated with honors (cum laude) from the University of Florida earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Marketing. She graduated with honors (cum laude) from the University of Miami School of Law. In addition, Ms. Ortega earned Dean’s List honors and the HOPE Pro Bono award.
While in law school, Ms. Ortega served as President of the International Law Society and interned in the University of Miami School of Law Immigration Clinic. Ms. Ortega was also a member of the school’s International Moot Court Program and competed in the Uvaldo Herrera Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court Competition. During her 1L summer, Ms. Ortega interned at the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel. During her 3L year, she interned in a boutique immigration firm.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., as an associate, Ms. Ortega interned in the Miami office.
Ms. Ortega is admitted to practice in the State of Florida. Originally from Cuba, Ms. Ortega is fluent in Spanish.
