Yasmeen Gomez is an associate at the firm's Miami office. Her practice focuses on Insurance Defense Litigation, with an emphasis on bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist losses.
A native Floridian, Ms. Gomez first attended Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. During her undergraduate studies, she earned dual certificates in Pre-Law Skills & Professional Values as well as in Law, Ethics, & Society. Upon graduating magna cum laude, Ms. Gomez earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law (UM Law).
While in law school, Ms. Gomez gained practical experience through significant internships, including a role with UM Law's Children & Youth Law Clinic where she helped provide legal services to children in foster care and young adults who had aged out of the system. Her dedication to the clinic led her to be recognized as a Burton Young Fellow in the Fall of 2022, and later, became a recipient of the Spring 2023 Dean's Certificate of Achievement Award for her performance in the clinic. Ms. Gomez also accomplished the HOPE Pro Bono Challenge by completing over 75 hours of pro bono service through her contributions to dependency work.
