K. James DeSantis is a Associate Attorney in the Miami office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. where he practices in the area of insurance defense litigation. His practice focuses on personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death.

Mr. DeSantis graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from University of Richmond School of Law. At University of Richmond, Mr. DeSantis was a contributor to the Journal of Law and Technology (JOLT) and served as manuscript editor. Mr. DeSantis was a member of Moot Court, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA), and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society for which he served as Treasurer. James earned the CALI book awards for the highest grade in his legal research and writing classes. Mr. DeSantis also studied international law and legal history at the University of Cambridge.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. DeSantis practiced in the areas of real estate law, compliance, and general counsel.

Mr. DeSantis is a Member of the Florida Bar and the Tennessee Bar.
